A former Au mine located in sec. 5, T5N, R12E, MDM, about 3.7 km (about 2 miles) NE of Mokelumne Hill (town). Discovered in 1889. Operated in 1889 and 1909. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a series of parallel veins. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 182.88 meters comprised of a 600 foot crosscut adit.
