A former placer/drift Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼ sec. 21, T3N, R13E, MDM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile) NE of Altaville. Owned by the Purinton Mining Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit located on the Central Hill channel. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
workings include underground openings comprised of a 35 foot shaft in red gravel; breast is 60 feet wide.
