A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼SW¼ sec. 22, T5N, R11E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) NNE of Paloma, in Rich Gulch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 12 foot thick vein, hosted in slate and gneiss. The ore body strikes NW and dips NE. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 60.96 meters and an overall depth of 30.48 meters, and comprised of an adit.
