A former Cr-Co-Ni-PGE (Pt-Pd-Ir-Rh-Ru) mine located 4.7 km (2.9 miles) WNW of High Plateau Mountain (coordinates of record).

Mineralization is a podiform chromite deposit (Deposit Model: 15: Podiform chromite (minor)), hosted in dunite.

Local structures include a fault, striking N45W and dipping 64SW, and which cuts the ore at a depth of 8 meters.

Related tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains Accreted Terrane.
