A former Cr-PGE (Pt-Pd-Ru-Rh-Ir) mine located 2.4 km (7,800 feet) NW of High Plateau Mountain (coordinates of record).

Mineralization is a podiform chromite deposit (Deposit model: 15: Podiform chromite (minor) hosted in rocks of the Napeequa River Area? (dunite).

Local structures include a major shear zone 6 feet wide which strikes N30W, and dips 30 NW. Intense shearing throughout.

Related tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains Accreted Terrane.
