A former Au-Ag mine located in sec. 9, T9N, R21E, MDM (see note, below), 3.8 km (2.4 miles) NNW of Silver Mountain site, in the headwaters area of Indian Creek, on National Forest land. Prospected in the 1860's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: MRDS file #10034949 provides a T&R value of R30E, which would put this locality in Nevada. The correct value of R21E from MRDS file #10235410 is presented in this file.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in volcanic rock. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 100 foot deep shaft.
