A former lode Au mine located in secs. 1 & 2, T9N, R20E, MDM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) WSW of Loope, along the East Fork Carson Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. Local alteration is silicification. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
