A former lode Au-Ag small prospect/mine located in sec. 20, T8N, R22E, MDM, 3.5 km (2.2 miles) E of Mineral Mountain, along Snodgrass Creek, on National Forest wilderness land (Carson-Iceberg Wilderness), near the Mono County line. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a narrow quartz vein hosted in Late Permian schist. Local rocks include Cretaceous marine rocks (in part nonmarine), unit 2 (West Walker River) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
