A former lode Au mine located in sec. 31, T10N, R21E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,300 feet) WNW of Loope, along Eagle Gulch, E of Colorado Hill (1 mile NNW of the junction of highway 4 & highway 89), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
