A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ (estimated) sec. 9, T20N, R4E, MDM, 4.6 km (2.9 miles) SSE of Cherokee, along Oregon Gulch (0.5 mile SSE of the Cannon Reservoir). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The MRDS database file places this locality in the Magalia District. It is clearly located in the Cherokee District.

Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft.
