A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 14, T7N, R10E, MDM, about 2.35 km SSE of Plymouth, N of Dry Creek and SSE of the Pioneer Mine. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body dips 70E at a thickness of 6.1 meters. Black gouge occurs on both sides of the vein, which varies from 3 to 20 feet in thickness.Free gold is associated with sulfides. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 30.48 meters and comprised of a 20 foot shaft, A 187 foot adit that intersects the vein, and a 40 foot adit that was not joined to the shaft.
