A stone (crushed/broken) stone deposit located in secs. 14 & 15, T6N, R9E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.4 miles) E of Clarksona, E of Dry Creek. Operated by Floyd O. Bailey. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Bailey had a contract to furnish 1¼ inch road ballast for the state of California in Sacramento and Amador Counties, as required.
Local rocks include Eocene nonmarine rocks, unit 1 (Northern and Central California) and/or Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
A portable crusher was employed that could produce about 1,500 tons of crushed rock per day.
