A former placer Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 25, T8N, R9E and in sec. 30, T8N, R10E (contiguous sections to the E-W), MDM, about 5 km N of Four Corners on the Cosumnes River. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
NOTE: There are 2 USGS MRDS files for this locality. Each file addresses a separate section of what is apparently a single property/dredge operation. The topo map reflects large areas of dredge tailings on the Amador County side of the Cosumnes River, in both of the contiguous T&R sections.
Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
