A Au prospect located in sec. 14, T8N, R10E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) NNE of Enterprise, E of highway 49 and Big Indian Creek, near its confluence with the Cosumnes River (El Dorado County line) (about 4 miles N of Plymouth), on private land. Operated by J. J. Crawford. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. The ore body strikes N and dips 70E at a thickness of 6.1 meters. The large vein has varying thicknesses. Smaller veins occur erradically in slate on either side of the central vein. South of the open cut and at depth the hanging wall is diabase and the footwall is block slate. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 250 by 120 by 20 to 80 foot open cut, an 80 foot shaft, and a 600 foot adit on the central vein.
