A Au occurrence located in sec. 6, T6N, R11E, MDM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile) SE of Amador City, E of highway 49 and W of Icehouse Pond, on private land. Operated by the Nevada Wabash Mining Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in greenstone and slate. The upper portion of the mine is in slate and the lower portion is in greenstone. The footwall is greenstone. Slate occurring to the E contains greenstone dikes. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 60 degree inclined shaft 370 feet deep, then the incline changes to 88 degrees for 240 feet. 47 feet of drifts.
