A former lode Au-As occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 3, T7N, R10E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) ESE of Bisbee Peak and 2.1 km (1.3 miles) WNW of Plymouth, on private land. Owned by Harold and Emma Swingle (1953). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. NOTE: This mine is seemingly sufficiently far enough W of Plymouth to be off the Mother Lode Belt.
Mineralization is hosted in greenstone. The ore body strikes E and dips 45N at a thickness of 0.3 meter. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 75 foot shaft on the vein.
