A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 22, T7N, R10E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) NE of Sugarloaf Peak (coordinates of record) and 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NW of Drytown, at the junction of highways 16 & 49, on private land. Operated on Matulich property near Drytown intermittently during 1941 and also operated on the Detert estate in Plymouth District on Indian Creek the same year. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic).

Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings/operations. A dragline dredge was employed.
