A former lode Au mine located in sec. 23, T7N, R10E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) NE of Drytown, E & S of Dry Creek, on private land. Operated by the J. H. Thomas estate. Some assessment work was reportedly done in the 1860's. The mine was reopened during the period 1808 (1908 ?) to 1914, idle since. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. The vein has an average thickness of 5 feet with a slate footwall and a greenstone hanging wall. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of an inclined shaft 147 feet deep.

A few tons of good ore was milled from production during the period 1808 (1908 ?) to 1914.
