A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 15, T6N, R9E, MDM, 3.5 km (2.2 miles) S of Irish Hill (coordinates of record), on the W side of Dry Creek, SE of the Clarksona railroad station, on private land. Operated from March 28 to June 25, 1941. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic). The area worked may be some of that included on card for sections 10, 11, 13, 14 & 23.
Local rocks include Eocene nonmarine rocks, unit 1 (Northern and Central California).
Workings included surface dredge operations. Dragline dredge was employed.
