A former placer Au occurrence/hydraulic mine located in sec. 30, T8N, R14E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) NE of Dew Drop and NNE of the Dew Drop Fire Control Station, on the South Fork Cosumnes River. Worked prior to 1894. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings presumably consist of surface hydraulicking operations.
