A Mn occurrence located in the center E½W½ sec. 36, T3S, R3E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile; 4,400 feet) SSE of Tesla, S and E of Corral Hollow, on private land. Discovered in 1918. Owned by Fred Shidaker (1950). Owned by W. R. Reay, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. One ore exposure is on the line between secs. 35 & 36. Another lies 300 yards to the E, near the top of the ridge and further E.

Mineralization is black Mn oxides mixed with chert. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Workings include unspecified surface openings. No development.
