A former Mn occurrence/mine located in sec. 7, T5S, R4E, MDM, 4.3 km (2.7 miles) SE of Sugarloaf Butte (coordinates of record) and 6.3 km (3.9 miles) SSE of Cedar Mountain (coordinates of record), along the N canyon wall of Eylar Canyon, opposite the confluence of Fairchild Gulch. Discovered in 1918. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
Workings include unknown openings.
