A Mn occurrence located in the NW¼ sec. 22, T4S, R3E, MDM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile; 5,100 feet) SSE of Mendenhall Springs along the E slope of Cedar Mountain Ridge, on private land. Owned by Arthur A. Holm (1950). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Several large blocks of siliceous Mn ore lie in soil and broken chert. The relations are not clear but the material seems to owe its present position to landsliding. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
No production. No material of commercial value was seen (1917).
