A magnesite occurrence located in the center S½ sec. 16, T5S, R4E, MDM, 9.4 km (5.9 miles) SE of Cedar Mountain (coordinates of record), and about 9¼ miles SE of Mendenhall Springs, along the western canyon wall of Arroyo Mocho, on private land. Owned by Otto E. Biel (1950). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is an outcrop on a narrow ridge SW of Banta's Cabin. Local rocks include Franciscan melange.
There has been no development.
