A Mn occurrence located in sec. 4, T14N, R7W, MDM, 7.9 km (4.9 miles) NNE of Clear Lake Oaks, on the divide between Quartz Canyon and Bald Hill Canyon. Operated by J. P. Rathbun. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: This locality is presented as being located in Colusa County; however, the T&R values, geographic coordinates provided and geographic context data in the MRDS file all indicate that it is in Lake County. The two canyons, between which it is located, are also documented as being located in Lake County.

Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
