A former cinder/pumice mine located in the W½SW¼ sec. 13 & in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 14, T10N, R22E, G&SRM, 7.0 km (4.3 miles) ENE of Show Low, on National Forest land. Operated by First Knoll Cinder Company, Arizona (1978). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 100 to 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a pumice/volcanic cinders deposit hosted in aphanitic volcanic rock. Local rocks include Holocene to middle Pliocene basaltic rocks.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a quarry type operation.
