A quartz-U occurrence/prospect located in the W½SW¼ sec. 12, T39N, R6E, G&SRM, 7.2 km (4.5 miles) WSW of Marble Canyon (town), on Bureau of Land Management administered land. "Take road N from Route 89 about 1½ miles W of Marble Canyon Lodge. Go 5 miles to claims in deeply dissected bench at the base of the Vermilion Cliffs."
Mineralization is an U-quartz deposit hosted in mineralized argillaceous sandstone in the Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation, bounded above and below by red-purple clay beds. Red-yellow jasper displays needles of uranophane. Radiation levels are 40x background. Local rocks include rocks of the Moenkopi Formation.
