Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Tyuyamunite is associated with gray claystone 5 feet above the base of the Salt Wash member. Local rocks include rocks of the San Rafael Group.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of 300 feet of rim stripping and 5 small adits.

Production was 80 tons of ore @ 0.21% U3O8; 2.14% V2O5 (1950 & 1953).

Scattered resources are limited.
