A former clay occurrence/pit operation located in sec. 23, T21N, R29E, G&SRM, 9.4 km (5.8 miles) ESE of Sanders. The locations of Cheto No. 1 and Cheto No. 2 may be reversed per USGS MRDS database file.
Mineralization is a bentonite deposit. Local rocks include Pliocene to middle Miocene deposits.
Product was shipped overseas and to Mississippi.
