A former U-V occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 24, T35N, R22E, G&SRM, (approximate sec. 6, T35N, R23E, and in sec. 1, T35N, R22E), 4.1 km (2.6 miles) WNW of Rough Rock and and 1.4 miles N of Yellow Mau Springs. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. NOTE: MRDS file #10112709 states that this mine had the previous name of the Tom Klee Mine; however, the latter mine is 4.9 km (3.1 miles) S of this mine according to USGS MRDS coordinates presented for each locality.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite and metahewettite with clay in pods hosted in Late Cretaceous sandstone. Tyuyamunite occurs replacing fossil logs in the Salt Wash Member. Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation and/or Cretaceous sedimentary rocks.
Workings include surface openings comprised of an open pit and rim stripping plus 57 drill holes.
