A former U-V occurrence/mine located in the approximate NW¼ sec. 1, T41N, R23E, G&SRM, 6.4 km (4.0 miles) NE of Yazzi Mesa (coordinates of record) and 2 miles due W of Comb Ridge. T&R values are not presented.
Mineralization is montroseite, carnotite and uraninite in lenticular ore pods in the bottom of a NW-trending paleostream channel, usually with carbonaceous debris. The host rock is the Shinarump member of the Chinle formation (Late Triassic sandstone).
Workings include surface openings comprised of pits.
Production was 576 tons of ore @ 0.16% U3O8 (1954-1957).
Analytical data results: V2O5 : U3O8 ratio is 3.8 : 1.
Reserve resource information: Reportedly ore-grade mineralization remains.
