An Fe-Mn occurrence located 3.9 km (2.4 miles) ESE of Rydal, along the E side of Sugar Hill Creek, along the N slope of Pine Log Mountain (E of Sugar Hill, Little Pine Log Mountain) (on a private lease). Discovered in 1954. Owned by J.M. Neel, Georgia (1974). Operated by the Bartow Mining Company, Georgia (1974).
Local rocks belong to the Chilhowee Formation.
