A former U-V occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 8, T040N, R029E, G&SRM, 0.7 miles E of Tsitah Wash.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite and carnotite in irregular tabular layers in the Salt Wash member of the Morrison formation on the N prong of Black Rock Point, NE limb of the Toh Atin anticline. Host rocks include Late Jurassic claystone, siltstone and sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of Morrison Formation. Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Local rocks include Quaternary surficial deposits, undivided.
Workings include an open stope on the edge of the mesa. A total of 1,365 feet of workings.
Production was 2,025 tons of ore @ 0.20% U3OS; 1.33% V205 (1951-1955, 1962 & 1965-1966).
