A former U-V occurrence/mine located in approximate sec. 13, T40N, R28E, G&SRM, 2.5 km (1.5 miles) NNW of Black Rock Point (coordinates of record). T&R values are not presented for this location.

Mineralization is tyuyamunite in irregular tabular layers hosted in Late Jurassic claystone, siltstone and sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation on the SW limb of the Toh Atin anticline. Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation.

Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 adits, 935 feet of drifts plus room and pillar operations, plus 12 drill holes.

Production was a total of 3,507 tons of ore @ 1.86% V2O5. Mined for vanadium content in 1943-1944 from Vanadium Corporation of America (VCA) West Reservation plots 1 & 6-13. Also, minor production from here included
with VCA West Reservation plot 6 total. Also, there was minor production under the West Reservation lease during the period 1948-1952 from plots 1 & 12.
