Escórias da mina do Braçal
1st century BC / 1st century AD
The Romans exploited silver and lead galena. Three Roman galleries are still identifiable. In one of them, during the 19th century, oak wooden beams used to secure the gallery were still present, along with some objects (a whip braid, a wooden bucket, and a fragment of a clay lamp).
In the 20th century, a bowl of terra sigillata, the "porcelain" of the Romans, was found, along with two oil lamps that were dated between 5 BC and 75 AD.
