A former surface and underground Cu-Ag-Au mine located on the Dunham patented claim in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 1, T4S, R13E (Kearny 7.5 minute topo map), about 0.2 miles W of Mineral Creek, about 1½ miles due W of Kelvin, on private land. Produced 1907 - 1941. Operated by Mr. James Herron. Previous operators include: I. Rogers; J.L. Dunham; and W.P. Dunham.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. Associated rock units are the Ruin (Oracle) Granite and rhyodacite porphyry. Area structures include a contact between Lower Cretaceous quartz diorite to the north and Precambrian granite to the south and E-W to ENE rhyodacite porphyry dikes and quartz latite dikes.
