Dog Lake and Cranberry Lake are interconnected. Do not confuse this with the Cranberry Lake in Portland Township ( Lot5, Conc.12) near Verona which does not have diopside but an old iron mine (Fourteen Island Lake Iron Mine) or the Cranberry Lake in the Township of Merrickville-Wolford which has no outcrop.

Note: Storrington Township was at some point incorporated into Pittsburgh Township and ceased to exist. However subsequently the two where divided up again with the old Storrington Township being amalgamated with Portland,Bedford,and Loughborough Townships to form the new South Frontinac Township and the old Pittsburgh Township has become part of the new Township of Kingston.
