SARIG Mineral Deposit Information,
"At the Moralana Barite Deposit, veins to lenses of barite up to 12 m wide infilled a fault zone trending EW across a periclinal structure in beds of the Umberatana and Wilpena Groups. The barite was associated with traces of barytocelestite, iron oxide, and silica. Estimated resources were 30,000 tonnes to 6 m depth. recorded production was 26t in 1978."
Note: Not to be confused with Bunbinyunna Mine, which is approx 1.5km to the South East.
