Open pit and partly underground workings for fumarolic sulfur in the crater of Ollague Volcano (elevation 5,870 meters). The sulfur workings, all over 5,500 meters elevation, are among the worlds highest mining operations. The sulfur deposits also extend across the border to the bolivian side of the volcano.
