Villa 25 de Mayo is an Argentine town located in the San Rafael department of the Mendoza province. It is located at the western end of the Diamante river valley, 25 kilometers from the City of San Rafael and is located at the crossroads of provincial routes 150 and 191.

It was founded together with the Fuerte del Diamante in the year 1805 and from that year, it was established as a departmental head until the year 1905. Since then, for various reasons and agreements, the capital was transferred to the current city of San Rafael, located near the Atuel River and the Diamante River.
