A Mn-baryte occurrence/group of claims located in secs. 31 & 33, T36N, R1W, MDM, 3.0 km (9,900 feet) SE of Kettle Mountain, along the E bank of the Pit River, on National Forest land. Discovered 1918. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is a vein baryte deposit hosted in diorite of Tertiary (?) age.
Local rocks include Eocene nonmarine rocks, unit 1 (Northern and Central California) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 5 (Northern Sierra Nevada and Eastern Klamath Mountains).
