A former lode Au mine located in the center S edge of sec. 32, T27N, and the N edge sec. 5, T26N, R8E, MDM, about 3.7 km (2.3 miles) SW of Canyondam, along the Feather River.

NOTE: Coordinates provided are to the center of the boundary between sec. 32, T27N and sec. 5, T26N.

Mineralization is bedded barite deposits related to quartzite and limestone in the Calaveras formation of Late Paleozoic age.
