Beedle’s Prospect was in the west corner of the town of Randolph between the Bethel line and the west branch of White River, in school district 11, three-fourths of a mile west and southwest of the Vermont Central Railroad, which here describes a curve. It is on the farm of A. H. Beedle, of Randolph.

According to the State geologic map of 1861 this granite should be on the west side of the western belt of ‘clay slate,’ but no granite is shown on the map in this town.

The granite is a quartz monzonite of etxremely light gray shade without any mica spots.

The principle opening was 60 by 30 feet.
