North of Civilian Construction Corps (CCC) camp and east of Virgin Valley Gorge Road. Located in November 1996, an unpatented federal mining claim BLM-NMC#763810, owned by Christopher Rose and Richard Shull.
NE Corner of claim is approx. 4,880 feet north of Survey Marker GS2- VFHV205 according to Mining claim records (Humboldt County Recorder Mining Claim Map Case/Document #1997-1750).
The Lemon Meringue is a Relocation of an earlier discovery made by the Bartlett's (et al) in the late 1970's or early 1980's. It is a deposit of common lemon opal or common yellow opal in hardrock.
