A Cu mine complex located in sec. 26, T1N, R14E, about 1 mile SW of Inspiration, ¼ mile NW of the Live Oak pit, in Barney Canyon, on private land. The Live Oak pit is the major pit to the SE. Operated mainly in 1897 to 1920, with main production before 1910. Now inactive but the adjoining pit is active.

Mineralization is a Cu deposit with an ore zone 0.46 meters wide. High-silica, gem quality chrysocolla was found in the upper or oxidized parts of the Cu deposit. This quality gem material sold for as much as $100/lb (1969).

Workings include the 330 foot Keystone shaft, which is approximately 500 feet NE of the Live Oak 1 shaft, which was 500 feet deep in 1912. Shaft 2 is about 1000 feet SW of shaft 1, and is 1180 feet deep with workings on the 800 and 900 foot levels, and connections to shaft 1. Workings total 1524 meters in length and achieved a depth of 359.66 meters. Production was included under the Inspiration Mine in ABGMT-USBM production files.
