A former underground Cu-Ag-Au-Pb mine located in sec. 12, T5S, R13E, in Ripsey Wash, about 1½ miles NW of Ripsey Hill, and about 4½ miles SW of Kearny, on private land. Operators included: Martin Fishback 1944 (Cu and Ag); Ripsey Canyon (Mn). Property was active in the early 1900'S or late 1890's; idle in 1911, and idle after 1941. Last produced in 1941.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in Ruin (Oracle) Granite. Local structures include a N-S-trending diabase outcrop, surrounded by Ruin Granite. An associated rock unit is rhyodacite. An irregular to E-W-trending outcrop of granodiorite south of the mine complexly faulted Precambrian sediments ¼ to ½ mile east of the mine.
