A former surface and underground Pb-Ag mine located in sec. 35, T9S, R2E, about 2 miles SW of Sif Vaya and about 4½ miles NE of Cathedral Rock, SE of the Vekol Mine (the principal workings are on the N side of a westward flowing arroya). Discovered 1885 and worked 1885-1932.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit in Escabrosa Limestone and Naco Limestone. Ore control was E-W-trending faults with related diorite porphyry dike with replacement along faults in the limestone beds which dip to the W. Alteration is strong. Similar deposit type and geologic setting as the Vekol Mine.

The principal workings consist of open cuts, drifts and small stopes. There were also two short tunnels and a shaft of 200 feet of depth. Production for the Great Eastern may have been included in the figures for the Vekol Mine.
