A former surface Cu-Mn-Ag-Au mine located in the SW¼ sec. 11, T1N, R15E, about 1,500 feet SE of the Keystone Mine (Original Old Dominion Mine), about 2.3 miles W of Black Peak, and about 1 mile ESE of Burch, on private land. Location measured to the center of the Highline claim. Produced 1915-1952. Previous owners and operators include A.G. McLain; Carlos Ortiz; A. Hernandez; M. Solter; and G. Russel.
Mineralization involves several brecciated zones in Dripping Spring quartzite that are sporadically mineralized with copper carbonates. The deposit is in a remnant of Dripping Springs Quartzite, ½ mile in diameter, surrounded by Precambrian diabase or Precambrian Pioneer Formation.
Area structures include Precambrian sediments that mostly strike NW and dip 20°-40° SW in the area. Short NNE-trending fault/shear zone runs through the mine.
Production was a few thousand tons of ore from shallow opencuts. It is credited with 400,000 pounds of Cu mined in 1929.
