Coal was found as early as 1744 on the Boserup estates at Lunnom. A smaller pottery industry started in 1741 here in Boserup using the local clay and coal from the same pit.
Run and supervised by Anton Svab (1702-1768) during his time as Principal Mine Inspector for the coal mines in Skåne (& Ädelfors Gold Mines).

During the years mergers between the operating coal companies in Skåne took place; Wallåkra Mining Co- Kropp (Bjuv) Mining Co- and 1903 the Billesholms-Bjuvs AB & Höganäsbolaget became finally; Höganäs-Billesholms AB.
