Structure: Crater Range Normal Faults

Alteration: Silicification

Deposit: Average width of ben hur vein is 2 1/2-3 feet. Ore is all oxidized. Vein is mostly banded and shows a fiber-like cross growth or structure which becomes noticeable with weathering. Part of the east vein system: lot creater (glacial cirgue) Au of eastern veins contains more silver than the west veins. Formerly owned by the vukovich brothers of jarbidge: owned by crater mining co. Genl of NEW york in 1920. 3 claims on the benhur vein, which is up to 14 feet wide on the no. 2 claim. ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock

Development: First owned by vukovich brothers of jarbidge; later by crater mining co.

Geology: Vein composed of lamellar, pseudomorphic quatz-adularia gangue and is all oxidized.
